In this general guide to the state of California, I selectively describe the best travel destinations the Golden State has to offer in my own inimitable style. California is my lifelong home, and I absolutely love it here. I hope that through this book, I can share that love with residents and vacationers from around the world.
Don’t worry–there’s plenty of snark in there for my dedicated readers! You can’t truly love a place (well, I can’t) without seeing it clearly–flaws included. But there’s more good than bad, and California’s the most amazing and diverse state you’ll ever visit.
