I applied for A Really Goode Job today.
Click the link, and you’ll learn that this dream position pays $10K per month for someone to live in Healdsburg and blog/tweet/FB/etc about the high life in CA Wine Country.
Gee, that’d be rough.
Especially for me, given that my life has become pretty much portable. I’d have no trouble moving to Healdsburg for the 6-month contract. (I hope they’d let me bring the kitties!) I might even be able to sublet the duplex for a few months, thus saving almost all of my exorbinant salary for future use.
Plus, wine. And poker. And wine.
Cross your fingers for me!
Hey Liz, you have a perfect position to niche yourself right into that Goode-Job — travel, food and wine writer? You are miles ahead of me!
Do you know of any other GoodeHopefulls?
(Gosh, you would even beat me in the grammar section, too…)

lol, well I’m hoping they’ll like my credentials. I’ve even written about Murphy-Goode specifically–they’re a good outfit. Nice staff, v. tasty wines. Hope you can get your hands on a few of them.
But we’re all in the game, so good luck! I think it would be great to make the top 10 and get to hang out with a bunch of you folks.
May the best and most enthusiastic wine-lover win!

You make me laugh– the most enthusiastic wine-lover– my lips are still virgin!
Never swooshed wine past these gums yet… I am waiting to have my first in Sonoma

Where did you see the video–up on AReallyGoodeJob.com? I can’t see it there. I hope they didn’t delete me.
Then again, they might just not let you see (and vote for) your own video. That seems fair to me.

You can start to plug the official site and get your buddies to vote for you!!! That is one huge advantage for getting your video in as quick as you did!

I found it! I was just having a cache issue with my browser. (I really need to start using something other than Internet Destroyer.)
So you really haen’t drunk any wine yet? Well, Sonoma will be an *awesome* place to start! It’s a much bigger and more diverse area than Napa (which is also wonderful, but compact geographically) with dozens of different varietals growing and hundreds of amazing wineries.

Yeah, I figured the people at Murphy-Goode are in an excellent position to teach me wine and I am in an excellent position to teach them social media…
By the way, if you put up a gravatar/avatar, then everyone you communicate will have a face/icon to easily identify you to… why not use the same one as in your twitter account?
